Education and further training
Ulrich Ledermann passed the state examination for medicine in 1979 and received his doctorate in medicine from the University of Basel in 1982.
After a period of residency at various Swiss hospitals and a 5-year study visit to San Francisco (1982-1987), he worked as a specialist in general medicine at the Zypressenstrasse group practice in Zurich from 1989.
Already in San Francisco, he was confronted with the emerging AIDS problem and worked with the Shanti Project, among others, and so it was natural that he also cared for HIV+ patients as a general practitioner in cooperation with the USZ.
The care of HIV+ patients also remained an important part of his daily work after he founded “The bodyclinic AG” with his life partner and later husband in 1997 as the first specialised practice for laser treatments in Zurich and worked there as head physician until July 2023.
For many years he has also been involved in various aspects of anti-ageing for men, in particular also the maintenance of satisfactory sexual function. In this context, he has also gained a lot of experience in the treatment of erectile dysfunction using Priapus-Shot, Bocox and acoustic wave therapy.
As a partial retiree, he will now support us in the Checkin Zollhaus on Monday and Thursday mornings from 1 October 2023.
